Cuốn sách được biên soạn theo đề cương môn học robot Trường đại học Bách Khoa Hà Nội và các Trường Đại học, Cao đẳng khác. Sách gồm 11 chương được sắp xếp theo trình tự hợp lý, có nội dung cơ bản và chuyên sâu trong lĩnh vực kỹ thuật robot công nghiệp. Trong mỗi chương có các ví dụ minh hoạ và bài tập tự giải.
